
Marcelle Morel concentrates her
practice in the areas of estate planning and trust and estate administration. She is a member of the Wills and Trusts Committee of the
Charlottesville-Albemarle Bar Association. Ms. Morel received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2000.
While at the University, she served as a technical editor of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology.
Born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Ms. Morel grew up in a community closely tied to NASA and the space program. She attended Florida State
University, graduating magna cum laude with a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1978 at age nineteen. Ms. Morel was a computer
programmer for several years before leaving the workforce to become a stay-at-home mom. Once her children were school age, she worked as
a paralegal in the trusts and estates practice area before attending law school.
Ms. Morel has four children and has called Charlottesville home for almost twenty years. She is a volunteer with the Blue Ridge Mountain
Rescue Group, an organization that manages and assists in the search and rescue of lost people and aircraft throughout Virginia and its
bordering states. She and her husband Ken, often with some combination of their children, have traveled extensively in recent years,
especially enjoying numerous trips to southern Africa.
